Features and requirements
Features:
- Shows two groups of buttons. Each button is associated with a program (with parameters) so that a click on the button starts the associated program. The button icon is automatically fetched from the program file.
- By a single click, all programs associated with the buttons in one of the groups, can be started.
- A delay can be set between each such start.
- Whilst the programs are being started, MultiStart can stay on top or minimize itself.
- These settings (delay and on top or minimized) can be saved to an initialization file, which can also be edited with a standard text editor.
- The buttons shown are based on a list in plain text. This can be edited with any text editor. There is also a special window (frame) for editing this file graphically.
Requirements:
- MultiStart has been written totally in Java and should run on virtually any operating system. It has, however, so far only been tested on Windows.
- Java Run Time System must be installed. (Most machines have this already – and it’s free. You can have Sun check this for you on-line.)
- MultiStart takes up some 170 KB of your hard disk (and your RAM when it’s running).
License:
- MultiStart is licensed under GNU GPLv3 – free and open source software.
